Contraception and headaches

Seeking, perhaps, to put an end to "not tonight dear, I have a headache", researchers have found:

if women stay on birth-control patches continuously they can reduce the risk of so-called estrogen-withdrawal headaches -- a phenomenon that occurs when contraceptives are interrupted to allow for "natural" menstruation.

In particular, patches seem to help prevent menstrual migraines.
