Daylight Using Time

Well, the annual Rite of Lost Sleep has come and gone, and we are now in Daylight Savings Time (except for most of Arizona, and I think one other state). (The portion of Arizona that sticks into the Pacific time zone does go on Daylight Savings Time, so for half the year, the entire state is on a single time zone, IIRC.)

I took the opportunity to do some yardwork, including taking a few more chops at the oleander hedge in front of the house. At the very least, I want to think it out. Better still, I'd like it to go away altogether, and what goes in its place is going to depend heavily on what the City will let me put up in that spot.

Irises are opening, and other flowers are blooming, and the bottle-brush tree is leafing out.

But, since we have all this daylight in the evenings now, I might as well use it. They're not making any more of it. :-)
