Serves six to eight
Use a regular 300ml coffee mug for the measurements.
1 mug raisins
1 mug sultanas
1 mug self-raising flour
1 mug suet
1 mug fresh breadcrumbs
1 mug light muscovado sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground mixed spice
1 mug milk
1 medium egg, beaten
Mix together the first six mugs in a bowl with the spices then add the milk and egg. Pour into a buttered one-litre pudding bowl, then cover and steam for about 2½ hours. Turn the pudding out on to a plate and serve with custard or butterscotch sauce and plenty of crème fraîche.</blockquote>
